Who's Taxing My Property

In an effort to improve accountability and transparency for Maricopa property taxpayers, the Treasurer’s Office produces an annual report titled “Who’s Taxing My Property.” Homeowners can compare at a glance their relative property tax burden among cities and towns, school districts, and other countywide assessments. The most meaningful way to compare property taxes is by $100,000 of full cash value (FCV). Full cash value is what the Assessor assigns as the “market value” of your property and can be found on your tax bill, notice of valuation, or the Treasurer’s website. To approximate the tax burden among different jurisdictions, divide your FCV by $100,000 and multiply by the amount shown in the graphs. It’s that easy.
