Maricopa County offers a FREE and simple solution to Mortgage Companies, Tax Servicing Companies, Developers and other multi-account payers – The Corporate Services System (CSS).

Arizona Revised Statutes (42-18051/E) allows County Treasurers to require electronic transmission of tax payment support documentation from third party payers or entities with a high volume of accounts.

The CSS was designed for any entity making regular tax payments, annually or semi-annually, for 20 or more tax accounts (real estate parcel, mobile home, business personal property, and/or centrally assessed) at the same time.

Typical clients include: tax services, mortgage companies, real estate developers and investors, banks (reo), utilities companies and railroads, retail store chains and restaurants, management companies, and individuals.

The CSS clients manage their accounts and payments through electronic request and payment files.

CSS is exclusively for current year tax processing.

  • Internet access.
  • Electronic Spreadsheet: MicroSoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, Apache OpenOffice Calc, or a Text file saved the comma delimited format (.CSV).
  • No special hardware is required.

What is the CSS process?

  • A request file is uploaded to the CSS.
  • Once all accounts are stored, a payment file is generated and available through the CSS for download.
  • The payment file, once reviewed and edited, if necessary, is uploaded to the CSS.
  • Payment is remitted with a corresponding remittance voucher, generated through the CSS.

Payment is submitted by check, ACH credit, or wired funds. (Currently credit card and ACH debit are not available options.)
